Detectives

About two or three months ago my dad and I were geocaching while my sister was with my mom.  We decided to go on a little adventure.  We hopped the fence and went for a walk in the bush below my house.  There was a little cement water drain.  We walked over and found a credit card.  I thought that was weird so we looked around for more stuff. We also found a debit card, receipts, and a divers license.  Dad read the license and saw that it was a retired cops license.  We sat down in the ditch and tried to figure out what happened.  We concluded that the wallet snatcher sat in the ditch out of sight and went through the wallet throwing anything that was not of use to him/her.  I was so excited we raced back up the hill.  we got in the car and drove to the address.  He wasn't home so we went and got ice cream at Thrifty's.  We saw some wood and building stuff so we figured he must be out at Low's or something.  Kaylee herd of what happened and wanted to come with so we picked her up from home and went to the retired cops house again.  We knocked on the door and he answered it.  We got to talking and he turned out to be a funny guy.  He said
" So what should the reward be?"
I answered "A smile!"
He said "Well okay" and he smiled at me!
He was so thankful for his wallet back!  I felt so good doing something good for him!

My first day of High School!

I started high school on August 18th.  Montana came over in the morning and we went to school together.  I had Spanish first and I think that was fun.  When I walked in Mrs.Fulkerson, my teacher, started rambling on in Spanish.  After Spanish I go to English.  English has always been boring to me so not much really happened.  Then I had brunch.  Next I had honors Geometry, which  I'm not liking so far.  My teacher gave us 49 problems of algebra for homework the very first night. Web design is across the campus and i barely made it there on time.  I like Web design because we play games the first 10 min. then do 5 min. of work and then more games!!!  P.E. is always the same so nothing new happened.  My favorite class is honors biology, we used microscopes to look at algae.  They look like tiny little pets!

Our Flight to Georgia

Yesterday Kaylee and I took a plane to Georgia.  We went without our parent so we were unoccupied minors.  On the plane we got to board first and got off last.  On the plane we even got free blankets, ear phones, food, and music on the plane!  When the plane landed we got off at the Atlanta, GA air port.  That's were we surprised my cousin Garret when he got off his plane.  Then we went to my Aunt Jerry's house and ate some pizza!  Today we went tubing down a river then we went to my cousins work.  She works at a radio station and we all got to make some recordings for her to put on her show.  She said that I was a natural but I just did what I thought I should.  I just put some enthusiasm in my voice and talked, but I do have a sort of lower deeper voice than most teenage girls so it helps on the radio!  Here is a picture of my beautiful cousin Kristina! ->

Montana's Birthday

Montana's birthday was on the fifth of July. To celebrate we went horse back riding in 90 degree weather so the horse and the humans were sweating like crazy.  At the beginning my horse wanted to run but when I would tell it to stop it wouldn't gradually come to a stop it would stop mid step and i would get thrown forward and then she would "ney" with a sort of giggle.  My horse and Montana's horse were almost competing for the pack leader so it ran a lot, but i didn't like the running part because I would get thrown around and hit my butt really hard on the saddle.(  So today my butt is super sore!)  Lloyd road a Clydesdale and it was huge and gorgeous!  It was a beautiful horse and it was also very funny!  When Lloyd was on it the horse was galloping and also farting to the beat of its steps!  Aunt Angela's horse was quite routy and difficult.  When all of the horses were going one way her horse decided to turn around and take off in a different direction.  The guide had to go chase them down!  Aunt Angela was getting a bit scared and the guide had to switch horses with her.  Even the guide was having a hard trouble with the horse.  When I turned around I saw the guide pulling on the reins of the horse but it wouldn't listen it just ran around in circles and refused to do what the guide said to.  When we got back I swung my leg over to get off the horse and nearly fell down I was so stiff!  I even had a hard time walking to get some water.  I think we all most have had a full bottle in less than a minute and we were still thirsty for more!!!!!!

The 4th!

The forth of July was really quite fun and I'm so glad we decided to have two BBQ's for the forth!  The first one was on Sunday, the third because most people had the forth off but not the fifth so it would be hard to stay up all night swimming and watching fireworks when you have to get up  at six the next morning.  So we had a little BBQ on the forth and had some friends and neighbors come over and swim.  When it was time for the fireworks  i got to light them and let me just say it was a little nerve racking and I got a little jumpy at times but I liked never the less!  We had sparklers and poppers for the kids, a cute baby for the moms, and fireworks for the dads and Al!

Kristina

Today my cousin Kristina announced that she is going to have a baby girl and the name is going to be either Kamyrn Marlee and Addyson Lynn!  Were all so excited and they even saw the baby smiling during the ultrasound.  Her ultrasound was three dimensional because shes paralyzed and was at risk but the doctor said she was as healthy as can be and she is no longer at risk of anything!!!!!!

Our road trip to Redding

Last weekend we went up to Redding and it took us 9 hours to get there.  We stayed in a hotel up there and saw a family of Swans and the were so cute, so cute that my little sister tried to pet the baby swan.  Lets just say the momma swan wasn't to happy and tried to bite my little sis. On the way back we left the hotel at 8:30 am and stopped off a few times to get some food and gas but even after that we were still supposed to get home around 4 until we were driving home on the 5 and we were on the farthest side to the right when the tire popped and the car went lopsided we had to cut all of the lanes to get to the side.  The worst part was we were on the side of an on ramp and these big semi-trucks kept zooming by and it was scarring the crud out of my Oma (that's German for grandmother).  She was so nervous that she made my sister sit on the other side of the car so if we were hit it wound be less damage done to her, the only problem was I was sitting on the other side so my Oma had her sit on top of me.  Here's a picture of my little sis, Kaylee!

My second real job

My second real job was on another movie set.  After the movie Alyce i was "recruited" to take pictures on another low budget film called Besties.  The first day i showed up the second camera operator didn't show.  The DP (Director of Photography) knew that my dad had been fooling around with the film side of production and asked him to shoot the movie with him.  How exiting, but it was also a lot of hard work.  On that job i became the assistant to the camera operator, the photographer, and a background actress!  At the end of the job Linda (the producer who hired me) gave my dad a check and said it was for us to split!  So that was my first paycheck on set.  By the way it was $100 so I'm pretty happy with that.

My first real job!

My dad is a photographer and when i showed interest he tought me a few things about lighting, focus, and having an "eye" for interesting pictures.  He takes photo advertisements for a film company called "Clairmont Camera".  While on set with my dad taking behind the scenes pictures for my dad I took a few snap shots of the talent.  When the talents family came on set I took a few pictures for them and when my dad emailed them the pictures the wife, Linda, loved them so much she invited me to come take pictures on a film she was producing and I agreed to.  That was my first real job!  The pictures came out great and I'm so excited to find out whats next.  You can check out the photos on www.alycemovie.com.  The first picture on the unit photography tab was taken by me!  Most of the photos were taken by me but not all of them.
